Despite some issues with one of the sales agent relating to not able to receive any email from him, with the help from the Manager, another sales agent (Robert) stepped in. I was able to receive the email from Robert immediately vs not able to receive any from the former sales agent over a week time period. I signed the contract and the service started right away. The technician ( Ralph) worked very diligently, very polite and professional! I intend to keep their service! Many thanks to the manager(Kim?), Robert and Ralph!
Our tech Chris is awesome. He is super professional. Chris always checks to see if everything is going well both inside and outside the home. Chris points out any potential issues and offers great solutions. I'm very happy with the service provided.
I have been a customer with Hometeam since 2019. No issues, service was always on time and the employees a pleasure to work with. However, this past Friday, they sent a representative to my house to do an inspection for termites.He gave me the horror stories of his vast termite experience. The encounter seemed odd, because Massey already does my termite service and they were just serving my home last month. The Hometeam rep presented me with a proposal to have them set termite traps with an additional charge to inspect them once a month The initial charge was $999.99, but since I was an existing customer, that fee would be 799.99, with an additional $59 per month to inspect the traps. Since he was fumbling with an IPad he did not know how to work, he wrote it up.since I could not pay because of his technical issues he said they would get back with me. Later on in the day I received a phone from Hometeam asking me for my credit card number. I said okay, with that the person on the line said, hold you can give your number to the sales person that was at my home. I thought that odd, why wouldn’t someone from billing not be handling my transaction? He told me the total was now over $1,500 which included the monthly inspection. At that point I told them I was no longer interested. On Monday I got an email from their office now offering the same exact service for $349 with a monthly inspection fee if $39. My feelings were since they have the ability to sharpen their pencil, why attempt to take advantage of me as I felt this was insulting? Five minutes after I sent that email I got a call from a manager saying how the guy that was at my house was a contractor and not an employee that was not really their way of doing business. Basically throwing this guy under the bus. On Monday I also received my renewal for the service they have been providing since 2019. I called and asked exactly what I am paying for since they charge $515 per year? While I was on the phone with billing I was told I had a credit of $100.60 since 2024 that has been “over looked” and due to some accounting issues was failed to be adjusted on my current bill. With all that said. I cancelled my account and moved all my services to Massey. Their annual service charge was $475 for the same work. Of course they wanted another manager to speak with me to determine what my issues were. I explained it all and told her I don’t like being lied to or taken advantage of. First thing out of her mouth was that this program was forced down their throats by corporate, thus throw the sales guy under the bus yet again. My bottom line is, all these services can be negotiated. Don’t take their word, chances are they are full of crap. Hometeam lost a loyal customer because of greed and lying.
Home Defense Team continues to provide the best customer service. We couldn’t be any happier with our service tech Steve who came to our house and clearly communicated all the information of the work that was being performed. Also hats off to Jack from the Fort Myers office that connected with us in getting a service agreement to our new home.
Steve our service tech was fantastic, he was very informative and extremely proficient! I feel we are in great hands with the level of professionalism & service provided by him and the Home Team!
