Delicious, upscale seafood located in the heart of Coronado. Delicious raw options for the ceviche and tostadas. Highly recommend the mixed Corriente ceviche (shrimp, octopus, and snapper) and the Red Snapper or Tuna Tostadas great service and interior. Plenty of seating available on a weeknight. Only downside was that they were out of their sea-bass. I was not planning on ordering any, but strange since it’s two entrees on their menu. I’m hoping this restaurant fairs better than the previous tenants of this building. Will be back and hope to try some of their cooked dishes next time.

We love it here!!! My coworkers and are here daily. Their happy hour is great price and the fish always tastes fresh. Get the red snapper tostada, ceviche, tijuana tacos. 10/10 recommend

Had an incredible experience at La Corriente! This place is an absolute gem. The variety and quality of the seafood are outstanding. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, from the sushi to the ceviche, and the octopus dishes were perfectly prepared with amazing flavor and texture. The hamachi tostadas were a standout: bright, clean, and bursting with flavor and spice. We also tried both the carne asada and seafood tacos, and they were equally impressive. It’s rare to find a spot that executes both land and sea options this well. Beyond the food, the service was just as exceptional. The staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made the entire experience even better. If you’re in Coronado, this is a must-visit. Fresh, flavorful, and consistently excellent.

I was so excited to try the Coronado location since I am a frequent visitor at the Tijuana locations specifically at the Cacho location, But the food was lackluster. The spicy margarita was $16+ and it was so mid and offered in a basic rock glass. I didn’t taste anything but ice and watered down margarita mix. It was so disappointing. The ceviche tostada was good but I just expected better plating or something a little more with it. It was so basic It really was like a typical ceviche tostada I make at home. Then the reason we came the soft shell crab taco. I RAVE about this taco and have claimed it as my favorite taco ever at the Tijuana locations however here it was so poorly made it left me not wanting one for a while. The soft shell crab was not crispy like they usually make it. It was soggy and the amount of mayo on the taco completely overpowered the taste of anything else on that taco. I had to scoop out a spoonful of mayo just to taste anything else. The look of the taco was not even appealing compared to the ones in Tijuana. Service was good but not that top tier Mexico service you get across the border. For the US upcharge I’d rather just stick to the Tijuana trips to enjoy this spot. Save yourself the visit and go to El Viejon if you want really good Mexican Seafood in San Diego.
