I had a great experience at Waterfront. We had the mini burgers, which were very yummy. They were small but filling if you have a couple, and they were fresh, warm, and made with delicious ingredients. The drink I had was an Aperol, which was very good. I would also recommend the Aperol spritz —it’s a classic and you really can’t go wrong with it. The staff was extremely friendly. The girls working there had such a sweet attitude and were very kind, which made the experience even nicer. We also ordered fries, which were good, and the popcorn was a fun little touch. I really enjoyed the music selection—mostly 2000s hits—which added a great vibe. It was a bit crowded, but that’s understandable since it’s such a good bar. The only downside was that there’s only one restroom, so the line was quite long. Other than that, everything was great. There is parking available, and we were lucky enough to get a spot right in front. We waited a little in line to get in, but once inside, the crowd was mixed and the atmosphere was enjoyable. Overall, it was a very good experience, and I would definitely come back.
Fantastic staff and super fun patrons! My wife and I had a nice brunch there one Saturday morning and decided to go back that evening, and we had a hell of a time! Bartenders and patrons were super cool and interactive, and I'm more of a slower paced kinda guy. Next trip to San Diego, this will absolutely be on the to-do list.
It’s easy to see why this place has stood the test of time. It was loud and lovely the night we stopped in. It’s got that rare, lived-in charm you can’t manufacture. You can feel the history in the walls, shoot, you can see it ooking through all the vintage photos in the bar of the many faces who’ve graced those bar stools over the years. The kitchen is open until 1am sharp (bless), which means late-night cravings are handled properly. The sliders are just what the doctor ordered — simple, classic, and exactly what you want with a drink in hand.
Waterfront Grill is one of my favorite spots for oysters. The oyster selection alone is enough reason to visit. They offer a great variety of fresh seafood but the menu has something for everyone. The atmosphere is upbeat and fun, making it a great choice for both couples and groups of friends. Located near the downtown and Gaslamp area, it's an excellent place to start or end an evening out. If you're looking for good seafood, great oysters, and a vibrant dining experience, Waterfront Grill is well worth a visit.
Great spot for delicious seafood. Wonderful views of the water. We enjoyed the whole experience.
